ProvisionPoint can define the Geo location for the data of your SharePoint Sites and Group:
- Using the requestors PDL (same as the experience in Microsoft 365)
- Define the Geo-Location in the Service Definition
- Allow users to choose the Geo Location on the request form
Enable Multi-Geo in ProvisionPoint
If Multi-Geo is enabled in your tenant, please ensure your Customer Success Manager has enabled the Multi-Geo.
Please provide the following information:
- The central geo location code
- For each satellite location
- Satellite location code
- The SharePoint Host URL
- The Admin SharePoint URL
- Go to Admin > Service Definitions > Multi-Geo tab
- Enable the Multi-Geo

- Choose the allocation type
- Users PDL - will default to the PDL of the requestor

- Options List - will allow a default from your central and satellite locations
- If Options List is chosen you can allow the requestors to choose the location at the point of request
- Set the override value type to Locations List
- Enable the locations they can choose from
- Ensure 'Show locations on request form' is set to Yes

- If you are only defining a default, you can choose if the location is displayed on the request form
- Save the Service Definition
When a new request is made the request form will honor the settings you have provided.
