Question

A new request has been made for a workspace or a change is requested. But the following error is shown:

Error: Exception (failure) -> Error running process. Code: Forbidden Message: Failed to retrieve appliable Sku categories for the user Inner error: Code: AccessDenied Message: Failed to retrieve appliable Sku categories for the user

Why do I see the error and how can it be resolved?

Answer

Cause

A missing or invalid M365 license on a user account related to this request. This will be on:

The Requestor's account OR
The Service Account - If ProvisionPoint is using the Service account for Group operations it is used to make all requests, so the Service account must have a valid license & if creating something that requires the service account

Resolution

Please ask your admins to check the M365 license:

Is there a M365 license assigned to the user
Is it still active and has not expired
Does it include the service type you are creating, for example Microsoft Teams.

If Henrietta made the request, she would receive the error as she is unlicensed

If the License apps have been amended this can also result in requests failing.

In Adele's E5 license, Microsoft Teams has been removed so this error would also be displayed if she were the requestor of a new Team

Once both the requestor and service account is confirmed to have active licenses, replay the job in the job queue
