To restrict data from a specific audience in the Data View Plus web part, follow these steps:
1. On the Data source settings page, click the Configure data source
2. Click the Display groups tab to begin configuring your display groups.
3. Provide a name for the display group (e.g., Employees).
4. After creating the display group, click the Add data source to select the data sources that should be displayed under this display group.
5. In the Target audience field, select the SharePoint groups that should have access to this display group.
Only members of these groups will be able to see the data from the associated data sources in this display group.
You can create additional display groups, each containing one or more data sources. Each group will be tailored to the specific target audience you configure.
- After configuring the display groups and data sources, while in Edit Mode, you will see the default display of the web part.
- The data will be shown in separate tabs based on the display groups and the corresponding target audiences.
- Example: If you connected the web part to a Tasks list, each display group will show its related data items in its own tab.
