A PowerAutomate flow can be created with a Trigger that creates a webhook.
Webhooks are used in a variety of places in ProvisionPoint to allow custom configuration before or after provisioning, as a manual action or lifecycle action, as a Service type. 

 

Create a Flow with a HTTP Request trigger

An account will need to have a Premium license for PowerAutomate to use the HTTP Request trigger

1. Create a new Flow
2. Click 'Add a trigger' - search for 'when an HTTP request is received'
   1. 'Who can trigger the flow' MUST be set to Anyone to allow the ProvisionPoint app to make the request
   2. 'HTTP URL' will show the webhook URL once the flow is saved
   3. 'Request Body JSON Schema' will need to be added to pass through dynamic values from ProvisionPoint. This can be achieved in 2 ways
      1. Use a basic example schema
      2. Use a sample payload of data - our preference would be this option. Run a call once you have the compose step added to collect the exact data from the call you will be making.

   4. Check the 'Settings' to define concurrency controls, conditions or other available options
   5. The 'Method' can be defined for the trigger to ensure it is only triggered by an appropriate call in advanced parameters
3. Add another Step to save the Flow, we recommend Compose
   1. Choose the dynamic value from the trigger body
      
      
4. Save the flow
   1. The trigger name will change to manual. click this to copy the webhook Url
      
      
      
5. Check the Flow is turned on, click back to see the details and run history
   If you see the option to Turn Off, this is good

      • Manually enabled in each Service Definition 
      • In a Stage of a Lifecycle Policy
   4. Custom Service Type for new requests
      
7. To get the sample payload, run the action or request to trigger the flow (below shows a custom action example)
   
8. Go back to the flow details page and refresh, there should be an item in the 28-day run history.
   Click the date to open
   
9. Select the Manual step and copy the Body values
   
   
   
10. Edit the flow and select the 'manual' trigger to add the sample payload
    
    
    
11. The Schema will be added, now build out the rest of your flow steps to achieve your results.
    
    1. Your body dynamic values will now be available.
       
    2. If there are request forms an or additional details held in arrays (actionDetail or requestedForm) these will need additional parsing to get individual values.
