ProvisionPoint supports a variety of Service Types, these are the workspaces that can be created
M365 workspaces we support:
- Microsoft Teams*
- Modern Team Site with Group*
- SharePoint Collection Sites
- Classic Team Site
- Team Site with no Group
- Communication Site
- And more
- SharePoint Sub Sites
- Planner Plans*
- Viva Engage Communities*
*All will create the Group with a mailbox when provisioned. The URL and mailbox name will be the same and does not support spaces.
You can restrict who can create Groups in your tenant using [insert PP mode article link] giving you added security and pushing your users to use the Service Definition templates you define.
Custom Service Types
A custom service type can be created in the app, this will use a webhook, allowing your team to create any other resources you need to manage. For example Shared Mailboxes, M365 Groups in Entra, PowerAutomate flows.
The webhook would be created from another application (PowerAutomate, Azure Function, etc) which will define what will be created.
ProvisionPoint will allow this request to be made through our Requests tab, giving the following additional functionality:
- Approvals
- Naming Conventions
- Collection of metadata
- Lifecycle
- Custom Actions to manage the resource
- Notifications on creation, lifecycle reminders, when actions are completed & failures
- Integration into the Site Directory List
